Kefta? Kufta? Kefto?

When I was cleaning out the fridge today, I noticed the container of (delicious!!) tehina I made last Friday to go with the falafel. I did not want such yumminess to go to waste so I decided to make Kefta. Afterall, I had extra pita in the freezer and parsley in the fridge. I searched around for recipes and found, not only a gatrillion recipes, but a gazillion different names for the same dish. I didn’t have the time nor the hands to write any of the recipes down, so I remembered what I could and played it by ear.

This is what I did:
1 lb ground turkey
1/2 small onion, finely diced
1 handful of parsley, finely chopped
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt

I made long rolls and baked them at 350F for about 15 minutes and then turned them over end broiled them for a few minutes. Danny got a work page just before dinner so I brought him his in the office and before I could even make mine, he was in the kitchen giving me kisses and telling me how delicious it was (check FB status for all disbelievers!). I ate mine on Amelia’s bed because it’s her turn to not feel well. When I got back to the kitchen to add a little into my pita tush, I realized I never took a picture of the final product. The pita tush will just have to do :)
