Tofu and Pan Fried Noodles

A few months ago, I went to Whole Foods and picked up some Extra Firm Tofu and couldn’t wait to convert Danny to a tofu lover like myself. I looked up how to prepare it properly, but screwed it up with an inedible marinade. Today, I had a few extra minutes in my insane day, so we ran into Whole Foods and I bought three containers of tofu, which is the cheapest protein out there - $1.29!! – and that’s at Whole Foods!!

I didn’t marinate the tofu, I heated up a teaspoon of peanut oil and stir fried it with some cut up red pepper and then poured on the sauce at the end. The sauce recipe is from Spice and Spirit, with some adjustments:

1/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. water
1 tbsp flour
1 tbsp sugar
pinch of ground ginger
few drops of sesame oil

I pan fried some egg noodles which were not picture-worthy and Danny and I enjoyed an amazing tofu dinner :)
